The Makanda Township Board will conduct the business of the Township. Check the Documents tile Agendas list for the meeting Agenda and Board Packet by Saturday evening before the Tuesday meeting.
This is an open meeting and public attendance is welcome. The public comment period is at the end of the meeting, or in advance through an email or call to the Makanda Township Supervisor.
The meetings are usually held in the Unity Point School cafeteria, which is accessed most easily from the Boskydell Road entrance. Occasionally the meetings are held in the school library, which is accessed most easily from the South Illinois Avenue entrance.
When Unity Point is closed for a holiday or vacation, the Township meeting is rescheduled or relocated.
